HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Firefighters are responding to a brush fire in Leeward Oahu Wednesday afternoon.
Smoke billowing from the fire could be seen for miles around.
Multiple HFD units are on scene along with federal partners as they work to gain the upper hand on the blaze. The fire was listed as being in the area of Kapolei Parkway.
Its unclear if any structures are threatened at this time. There have been no reports of evacuation orders thus far.
HPD dispatch also says there are no road closures in the area as a result of this fire.
